    Description

    A 1930's doll quilt in the Carmen's Block pattern.
    Identification of this pattern can be attributed to Nancy Page, a mail-order quilt pattern column that was carried by many periodicals from the 1920's-40's.
    Size - 22" x 27"
    Fabric - cotton
    Each block is 4-1/2" x 5"
    Carmen's Block is a Four-Patch pattern.  Each block has 4 squares - 2 of the 4 are are also divided into 4 very small squares.  Pieced and unpieced blocks alternate.
    The pieced blocks have a variety of patterns - most are floral, many are Art Deco.  Lots of pink, red, blue, green, yellow.  Unpieced blocks are light yellow.
    Quilting - machine-quilted in long diagonal lines throughout the quilt.
    Batting - none
    Backing - cream cotton
    Condition - overall good - BUT, has some light scattered spotting - please see pictures.  Otherwise good.
