    Description

Antique doll pull cart features hand-painted wood dogs on either side with wood platform mounted to iron wheels. There is one dog missing its paw. The other dog is intact. Hand-painted details on both dogs are intact. The front board has a split and a small piece missing above. The two dogs have small splits or cracks from age. The dog missing its paw has "Woof" applied to its midsection and the other dog has a split above the paw that is wrapped in string to keep it together until it is repaired. Iron wheels are intact and functional. The platform has a few surface pieces missing at one end. On the underside, the maker's name has been blacked out with paint. The patent date is April 23, 1876, and there are remnants to the instructions on how to use this pull toy. For a piece this old, it is in fairly good condition. Wheels have a tad of oxidation that can easily be cleaned. There is a chance someone started to paint the edge of the platform blue and stopped. Please see the photos for further details. 7 3/8" tall x 13 1/2" long x 5 3/4" wide.
