    JEAN NORDQUIST'S Kit to Create a 5" Baby Cradle with an 18K Gold Pen to Edge
    I created this darling baby "Little Bird"cradle for my friend Carol Sluys to teach in a workshop in 2010. The kit includes the card stock graphics to cover the wooden parts plus for this auction I am adding an 18Karat  Krylon gold pen.  It also includes all precut wooden pieces plus clear assembly instructions.
    The finished piece is approximately 6-1/2" long, 4-3/4" wide and 6-3/4" high. The delightful images are taken from my circa 1900 trade cards.  The cradle makes a wonderful display piece for baby dolls about 5" long. You can antique it with dark brown shoe polish for a fabulous old look or seal it with neutral polish to retain a bright more contempory look. Edging with the gold pen adds a wonderful extra focal point. Please note that we also offer a "Little Bird" trunk kit to go with this cradle as an ebay auction.
    The following is included in this kit:
    Headboard, footboard, 2 side boards, bed bottom, 8 trim pieces, 4 side board supports and 2 bottom supports.
    One Krylon 18K Gold Pen for edging the cradle.
    Four graphics to cover both sides of the head and foot boards plus 2 graphics to cover the side boards.
    Great photos and instructions.
    What you need to provide to complete this project:
    White craft glue like Elmer's or Tacky for gluing wooden parts
    Yes paper glue for adhering the graphics to the wood. You may also use Elmer's or Tacky for this but "Yes" stays open longer thereby making the process easier.
    Scissors
    Craft knife and sand paper or emery board to trim the cardstock flush to the wood
    Fixative or shoe polish to seal and antique after all parts are glued
    You will also need to make or provide all bedding.
